Hello, I’m Geoffry Hinton and I tutor in ‘Global Studies’, but my specialty is European culture taught in English. However, from this specialty I can teach in a wide range of topics. I first came to Japan, after having attended university in New Zealand, and having worked for several years on major newspapers, to research stories for a New Zealand (Hong Kong-based) television documentary company. And then I decided to make Shizuoka, Japan, my home. I have also, in Japan, worked extensively in art project production, and radio program production. So, in addition to my teaching work I am a founding member of Imagikon Photography, which is based in Shizuoka City. When possible I like to travel, however, of late, I am interested in developing further relationships between New Zealand and Japan. And another thing is that myself, and my friends like to explore the food produced in the Shizuoka region ? it is really amongst the best anywhere. The English language is a great way to explore the world ? and now Japan, too. English study can open new doors for those who are adventurous!。＾

皆さん、こんにちは。私はディーンと申します。私の専門はヨーロッパ文化です。この専門知識で様々なトピックを 教えています。最初に来日したのはニュージーランドで大学を卒業した後でした。卒業してから私は 新聞社で記者として数年働き、香港に本社があるドキュメンタリー番組を制作するテレビ局でも働いていました。　その後、私は、第二の我が家、日本に 来ることを決めたのです。　私は、静岡でラジオ番組制作やアート展などのプロジェクトにも携わってきました。 英語を教える事以外に、私は静岡を拠点に活動している Imagikon Photographyの会員でもあります。 可能であれば、旅行をしたいと思っていますが、今は日本とニュージーランドの架け橋になるプロジェクトに 関わりたいなと思っています。 その他には静岡で食べ物を色々と見てみたいなと思っています。 英語という言語は世界を探検するのにとても素晴らしいツールで、今では日本国内でも同じ事が言えます。そしてそれは色んなことを知りたい人たちにとって世界の門戸を 開いてくれますよ＾＾
